All our Sports Leaders are DBS checked, a qualified first aider will always be present and all our staff have experience working with children of all ages in various capacities, including multi-sports and fun activities.

What happens if it rains?

A bit of drizzle won't stop us enjoying the great outdoors, but if the weather is really bad we have plenty of space indoors where we can enjoy numerous activities and stay dry.

What if my child has an allergy/medical condition?

We ask that you make any allergies and/or medical conditions clear to us within your registration form and provide us with as much details as possible as to how this may need to be managed.

Do you provide lunches and/or snacks?

We ask that children attend with adequate snacks and lunch for their duration of stay, with their items clearly labelled with their name.
In case of any potential allergies, we kindly ask that all snacks/lunches are nut-free.

What if my child has a disability?

Many of the facilities at Oxford University Sport are all-inclusive, but to ensure that we can provide the right care for your child, please provide detailed information on the additional care your child may require within your registration form. We will contact you to further discuss a suitable supervision plan if we are able to accommodate their needs.

Can all children partake in swimming sessions?

Swimming sessions will be available only to children aged 8 years and over, who are able to swim a minimum of 25 metres. We appreciate this might be disappointing to younger swimmers, however this is necessary due to the pool safety ratios we are required to abide by.

Can I pick and choose days based on activity timetable?

We aim to ensure that every day provides a variety of sports and options for the children, and therefore no two days will be the same. However, we cannot fully guarantee exactly what sports and activities will take place on any given day, based on factors such as weather, group size, etc that may be out of our control. We will endeavour to provide as much information as possible closer to the date(s) of the activity camps, but sessions may be subject to change.

What should my child wear?

Comfortable, sporty, weather appropriate clothing is required.

On hot and sunny days we ask that you ensure your child arrives wearing sun cream, and also brings along a hat and appropriate clothing to keep cool such as shorts and t-shirt.

On cooler/rainy days, please ensure your child brings along a coat/light jacket and appropriate clothing to keep warm such as a hooded jumper and tracksuit bottoms.

Suitable footwear such as trainers/plimsolls are always required, and a spare change of clothes would be handy!
